Mahindra has expanded the colour palette of the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition by introducing an elegant new Satin Desert Myst exterior shade. The premium electric coupe-SUV was previously offered exclusively in Satin Black and Satin White, and the latest addition gives buyers another distinctive matte finish to choose from. The update arrives nearly four months after the special edition made its debut in March.
The Cineluxe Edition continues to be based on the flagship Pack Three variant of the XEV 9e, meaning there are no changes beneath the surface. It retains the familiar 79kWh battery pack, which delivers an ARAI-certified driving range of up to 656km on a full charge. Since the mechanical package remains untouched, the latest enhancement is purely visual, designed to keep the special edition looking fresh while broadening its appeal.
Exclusive Design Details Set It Apart
While the new Satin Desert Myst paint is the headline attraction, the Cineluxe Edition already distinguishes itself with several unique styling elements unavailable on the standard XEV 9e lineup. Inside the cabin, it features an upscale Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black dual-tone interior, complemented by contrasting brown stitching that elevates the premium ambience.

Another exclusive touch is the Cineluxe badge mounted on the rear quarter panel, giving the edition a more bespoke identity. These details, combined with the matte paint options, create a noticeably different visual character compared to regular XEV 9e variants, which continue with Mahindra’s conventional exterior colours and interior themes.
Matte Paint Remains a Cineluxe Exclusive
The satin finish continues to be reserved exclusively for the Cineluxe Edition. None of the standard XEV 9e variants are available with a matte exterior, making the Satin Desert Myst, Satin Black, and Satin White finishes unique to this premium offering.
This exclusivity is also reflected in the pricing. The Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition carries an ex-showroom price of Rs 29.35 lakh, while the standard XEV 9e range begins at Rs 21.90 lakh. The higher price tag accounts not only for its Pack Three foundation but also for the exclusive cosmetic upgrades and limited-edition styling package.
Special editions like the Cineluxe have become an increasingly popular strategy in India’s fast-growing electric vehicle market. By introducing unique design treatments and exclusive finishes without altering the mechanical package, manufacturers can maintain customer interest and keep their flagship models relevant between major product updates or facelifts.
