Windsor EV Pro is getting a considerable range boost with a refinement in its battery pack. The expectation set with the new 52.9 kWh battery is that it will address one of the biggest complaints from EV users. While MG Motor India has yet to formally state the range figures, they are expected to be optimistic as initial tests claim that the Windsor EV Pro will have a real-world range of 350 km to 460 km, depending on driving conditions.
This new version surpasses the 38 kWh model, which MG had previously released and done incredibly well on.
New Exterior Design
The Windsor EV Pro received major upgrades such as new alloy wheels, Celadon Blue colouring, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver. The team is upgrading the interior by introducing a newly designed double-toned cabin featuring black and brown wood-textured accents, which will further elevate the Windsor EV Pro’s interior. The Windsor EV Pro still offers fast charging capabilities. Fully charging the battery takes roughly 9.5 hours with a 7.4 kW AC charger. In contrast, the 60 kW DC rapid charger can refill the vehicle’s battery from 20% to 80% in under 50 minutes. The Windsor EV Pro is highly convenient for users with different charging needs. It makes long drives easier because it does not have to deal with extended charging times.
Pricing and Booking Information
MG Motor India has offered the Windsor EV Pro to the first 8,000 customers at a subsidized price of Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers who choose the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model can purchase the car for 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and will pay an additional 4.5 per kilometre for battery rental fees. Interested buyers hoping to secure their vehicle must place their bookings before May 8, 2025, the date set to officially open bookings for the Pro model.
