Hyundai’s Special Edition IONIQ 5 Hits Clearance Pricing
Introduced last year to commemorate Disney’s 100th anniversary, this distinctive IONIQ 5 features a Gravity Gold Matte exterior, bespoke Disney100 wheels, and exclusive branding. Step inside, and you’ll find a refined two-tone terra brown and mud gray interior, complete with Disney100 insignias on the headrests, center console, and floormats. A unique Disney-themed start-up animation plays when you power up the vehicle, accompanied by nostalgic Disney melodies.
Hyundai announced that only 1,000 units of this Disney-inspired electric SUV would be produced, making it an ultra-limited edition.
Deep Discounts, But Availability Is Scarce
Fast forward a year, and the Disney100 IONIQ 5 is now one of the best deals in the EV market—if you can track one down. According to CarsDirect, Hyundai has quietly introduced a cash incentive of $2,500 to dealers this month. Since this isn’t an advertised promotion, dealers have the discretion to apply (or withhold) the discount at their own discretion.
This incentive stacks on top of Hyundai’s $10,000 price cut from last March, which was introduced just months after the vehicle launched. Hyundai is also sweetening the deal with 0% APR financing for 60 months or up to $7,500 in bonus cash. On a 36-month lease, buyers could potentially save up to $13,750—and when combined with dealer incentives, total savings could exceed $16,000. However, this offer expired on March 31, but the extended date is now April 30.
The 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition originally retailed for $59,400 with a range of 260 miles. With discounts, prices could plummet to around $43,400, making it cheaper than the standard SE trim ($45,850).
What’s Next for the Hyundai IONIQ 5?
This limited-edition model belongs to Hyundai’s outgoing 2024 lineup. The 2025 IONIQ 5 has received notable upgrades, including an increased range of up to 318 miles, a refreshed exterior and interior, and the addition of an NACS port for seamless charging at Tesla Superchargers.
For those considering the latest model, Hyundai is offering leases as low as $199 per month for the 2025 IONIQ 5. The base 2025 model starts at $42,500 with a 245-mile range, while the extended-range version starts at $46,550.
