Chevrolet is reviving the Spark name, but forget the tiny gas-powered hatchback you once knew. The 2026 Chevy Spark EUV is an all-electric compact crossover designed for affordability and practicality, packing a 220-mile range and a fresh new look.
2026 Chevy Spark EUV with a Global Twist
GM isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel here. Instead of building a completely new model, the Spark EUV is essentially a rebadged version of the Baojun Yep Plus SUV, a product of GM’s joint venture with SAIC and Wuling in China. It’s a smart move—leveraging existing tech while keeping costs low. The result? A compact yet rugged-looking EV aimed at drivers in South America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Chevy Spark: Small in Size, Big on Features
Under the hood—figuratively speaking—the 2026 Chevy Spark EUV runs on a 75 kW (101 hp) front-wheel-drive motor, generating 180 Nm (130 lb-ft) of torque. Power comes from a 42 kWh LFP battery, offering up to 220 miles (360 km) on the NEDC cycle. Regenerative braking helps squeeze out every last mile.

Inside, it’s surprisingly well-equipped for a budget EV. You’ll find a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included—an interesting decision considering GM’s recent move away from these features in North America.
Bold Looks in a Compact Package
Chevy is launching the Spark EUV in the ACTIV trim, giving it a boxy, urban-adventure vibe. A two-tone roof, 16-inch wheels, and a rugged design help it stand out in the crowded small-EV segment.
For those who like a little personality in their cars, Chevrolet is offering six vibrant color options, including:
- Sea Blue with a Polar White roof
- Track Yellow
- Tiger Blue
- Gentle Gray with a Star Twinkle Black roof
- Milky Tea (Yes, that’s a real color name.)
Want to make it even more your own? Buyers can accessorize with ground effects, side moldings, assist steps, and extra storage options.

Affordable and Practical—But Not for the U.S.
“The Chevrolet Spark EUV is the most stylish and accessible EV in its class,” says Jack Uppal, GM Africa & Middle East President and Managing Director. He highlights its fun-to-drive nature and extensive customization options.
Keeping costs in check means GM has made some trade-offs. The 50 kW max charging speed isn’t breaking any records, but it helps maintain affordability. Given that the Baojun Yep starts at under $12,000 in China, a sub-$20,000 price tag for the Spark EUV wouldn’t be a stretch.
Where and When Can You Get One?
The 2026 Chevy Spark EUV will launch in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, Iraq, Oman, and Egypt later this summer. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
Our Take on Chevy Spark
It’s a shame this little EV isn’t coming to the U.S. A fun, practical, and affordable electric crossover would likely find plenty of buyers stateside—especially if Chevy could hit that sub-$20,000 price point. But for now, GM seems more focused on making waves in emerging markets.
